Room Data Sheets SmartTool

Room data sheets (or RDS) are used to record the details and requirements for each room on the project. They are typically prepared by the client at the briefing phase (also called architectural programming in the US) of the design process. They can be updated throughout the design process to reflect changes or to give more information of the people responsible for delivering the project.

The Room Data Sheets SmartTool is an efficient and accurate sheet, view and schedule building tool for building rooms (or space) sheets of data in the Revit project. The tool can generate 3D plans elevations, schedules, and views of rooms or spaces.

You can also click ‘Load Config’ …’ on the toolbar to load previously saved configurations that will replace the current settings. This will reduce the amount of needed for manual rework for different rooms and types.

In the ‘Naming:’ tab the user can choose whether to include the selected space or room’s name in the sheet’s ‘Sheet https://searchstreams.info Name text box that appears on the left side of the screen. The ‘View Title:’ option specifies what text appears in the title bar for each view. The ‘View Increment’ option specifies the number of increments that exist between each view on the sheet. The ‘Spacing:’ option is a way to control the space between each view on the sheet and the ‘Exclude View Titles in estimating view sizes on Sheets’ option will stop titles from being included when determining the amount of views that are able to fit on a single page.
